Had a great time at the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police Mid-Year meeting at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch, NJ. I was able to catch-up with many of my client department staff in person for the first time in two years. I also met and spoke with many new folks with whom I hope to work with in the coming year. This was the first time since 2019 that things felt close to ‘normal’. I’m looking forward to a better 2022 for everyone. I could not let Memorial Day pass without posting this. This coin was created for my brother-in-law Bill Murphy who presented it to his fellow attendees at the 50th anniversary reunion of the 1st Calvary Division Airmobile forces last fall.

Known as the SKYTROOPERS Bill's unit served as part of Charlie Company's 2nd Battalion 5th regiment. He and his fellow soldiers served with distinction during the Vietnam war between the years of 1965 - 1972. I believe I speak for all of my generation when I express our thanks for your service and sacrifice.

Happy Memorial Day to all those who have served or who are serving in our military and to their families. May your willingness to give all to secure our freedom never be taken for granted.
