Punglico Custom Fishing Rods Custom Fishing Rods We have a real love for these estuarine waters. I specialize in Inshore rods, fly rods and surf rods but have built pretty much everything.

I have been building, repairing and refurbishing fishing rods for years and finally created a small business out of it this year. “Punglico Custom Rods” was created and named as a cross between the Pamlico and Pungo rivers. I also have a passion for refurbishing vintage rods bringing them back to life. Why I build rods:

· Fishing is my life – I am always looking for the perfect rod, tackl

e and quality products – Building rods gives me the satisfaction of knowing I can get what I want

· It allows me to be my creative self and put that energy in to quality functional art.

· I LOVE to see people catch fish on rods I built them and to see their satisfaction

· I take pride in every rod I build and won’t sell it if I am not personally satisfied with it

I started turning and shaping cork and foam handles. The sky is the limit on sizes, shapes, color and creative design. Soon I will be able to do wood handles as well. A couple of pics at the end will show you what the foam set up looks like pre shaped. Crazy stuff
