One of our favorite little activity hacks?

The shake test!

Before an art project is officially finished, we gently pick it up and give it a shake.

If something falls off, we know it needs a little more glue.

It’s simple, but it helps prevent the frustration of pieces falling off later and teaches kids to check their own work before calling it done.

Plus, kids think it’s pretty fun to shake their masterpiece. 😉

This month we’re heading to the beach with simple, hands-on play that encourages little ones to explore, create, and imagine seaside adventures from home.

I’m looking forward to some time at the actual beach this month. After planning this kit, it feels fitting to enjoy some beach adventures of our own!
