This party is called Parks for the People and it’s all about celebrating our local parks and raising awareness for the park bond that’s on the upcoming ballot 🌲

“On November 8th, Raleigh voters will be asked to consider a $275 million bond referendum. The 2022 Parks Bond includes projects that continue to provide the Raleigh community with healthy park and recreation options for everyone to enjoy. This proposal focuses on evolving community priorities, social equity, and pandemic recovery. The general vision of this bond is to provide improved equitable, resilient park and greenway access across the City of Raleigh.”

When the Nastalski family opened Dogwood Country Club, they didn’t want to open a basic golf practice facility. They wanted to create a new kind of country club that kicked all the old stigmas to the curb. They wanted less rules, more inclusion, maximum fun and most of all, heart 🤍

This was their way of growing not only the game of golf, but a meaningful community that could make a real impact 🌎

Meet Shira:
Senior Stylist | Curly Hair Specialist

Shira is a Baltimore native but she’s lived in the Raleigh area for over 15 years now. She’s wanted to be a cosmetologist since she was 5 years old and assisted for 6 months before working behind the chair on her own. Shira loves learning and is constantly on the hunt for new techniques to bring back to her clients🕵️‍♀️

She’s passionate about helping her clients create lived in, low maintenance looks, educating them about how to care for curly hair, and all things blonding 👑

When Shira isn’t behind the chair, you can find her chasing around her three kids, cooking with her husband, and tending to her indoor plants 🪴 She also loves self help books and is constantly looking for ways to grow💡
