If you run a kitchen in the Triangle, you already know where the floor goes bad first. It is always around the drains.

Water and grease work into bare concrete a little at a time. The surface starts to pit, grout lines open up, and it never becomes a problem during a slow week. It becomes a problem in the middle of your busiest month, when you have no room to shut anything down.

If you have a painted garage floor that is peeling, it is not because you did anything wrong.

Most homeowners clean the slab, roll the paint on, and let it cure exactly the way the can says. It still fails. The reason is that paint bonds to the weakest part of your concrete, the soft dusty layer right at the surface. Hot tires and moisture pull that layer up, and the paint goes with it.

We take a different approach. Diamond grinding removes the failed coating and opens a surface profile in the raw concrete. The epoxy soaks into that profile and forms a mechanical bond. Full flake goes down wall to wall, then a polyaspartic topcoat seals it.

Thirty years of oil, road salt and hot tires, all soaking straight into bare concrete.

That is what we started with here. Once it is in the slab it does not come out, and no amount of cleaning gets you back to where you started. So we do not try to clean it. We take the top layer off.

Diamond grind first, wall to wall. The cracks get cut out and filled flush while the slab is still open. Then epoxy base coat, full flake broadcast, polyaspartic clear on top to lock it in.

Last two photos are the same garage. Nothing soaks in anymore.

Carpet in a restaurant dining room holds onto everything.

Grease works into the fibers. Chair legs chew through the backing. No amount of cleaning brings it back, and eventually you are looking at a worn hole next to a booth in the middle of a full dining room.

This pizza restaurant in Mebane had years of it. Here is what we did:

Pulled the carpet and pad
Ground off decades of old adhesive
Filled the control joints and repaired cracks
Progressive diamond grind up to a 400 grit polish

Same slab that was already under the carpet. No new material added on top. It sweeps clean, spills sit on the surface instead of soaking in, and there is nothing left for grease to work into.

Here's something we get asked a lot: "Does it have to be gray?"

No. Gray is just what most people have seen.

We carry sixteen flake blends. Some are grays, and they're not all the same gray. Tuxedo runs black and white with high contrast. Creekbed is softer. Then there are the browns, and a stone-look line that reads closer to terrazzo than to a garage floor. You can also pick your own colors and we'll blend them.
