I come to you in prayer my Father,
I’m opening my heart to you,
I ask you dear heavenly Father to tell me what and how to do.
I’m a member of a sisterhood, I guess you might already know.
My desire is to be of service and to help us always grow.
Alpha Kappa Alpha, my love runs so deep and ever so true.
Help me heavenly Father, my sacred vows to renew.
A vow of service to all mankind, what a selfless pledge I make,
Please dear heavenly Father, Alpha Kappa Alpha’s name for me never to forsake.
The women of this organization can never be second guessed.
We are the leaders, the workers, quite different from all the rest.
Members of this organization have toiled both day and night.
They have been the soldiers on the front line of battle, whenever it’s time for a fight.
Battling civil injustices, stopping lynching in the South, preserving the African-American heritage, and aiding anyone who is in need,
Alpha Kappa Alpha women are always ready to do a good deed.
Dear heavenly, gracious Father, on this glorious and wonderful day,
I ask you to give me strength and help me begin to start anew.
My savior, my majesty, this is my heartfelt prayer to you.
