Jardim Botânico de São Paulo

This was such a beautiful little gem hidden in the city. It felt like we were exploring the jungle while mixed with these beautifully curated garden.

There is also some wildlife free to roam the gardens so we saw some howler monkeys up close but, of course, kept a respectful distance as they can be territorial.

So many secret pathways that lead to special areas and we didn’t get to see them all. We spent just a morning here but could have spent all day.

There are food stands and a restaurant closer to the front which means you really don’t have to leave until they close if you don’t want too.

Japão Liberdade

This area of the city is home to the largest population of ethnic Japanese outside of Japan.

Japanese started moving to the area in 1912 and slowly opened up more shops catering to the Japanese culture. Now walking the streets you see markets filled with chili and spices and on a corner will be Daiso and boba shops. Turn the block and a ramen restaurant set across the street from a karaoke bar.

This was our favorite spot in the city. It felt like getting to experience two cultures at once. And had such a rich history is such a short time.

This beanie was inspired by watching old videos of one our favorite travel YouTubers . She wore a similar beanie in several winter videos a few years back but, I couldn’t stop staring at the hat to figure out the pattern!

Ahhh I can’t believe I never shared the finished photos of my Nora Sweater!

I finished this over a month ago, but just forgot to post these photos.

This project was amazing to work on and definitely one of the most luxurious things I’ve ever knit.

Yarn: aloft in iceberg by held double with cabretta in sagebrush also by

I’m so happy with the finished result, and can’t wait to wear it more this winter. With the yarn held double it is very warm but soooooo soft!

Is it beanie weather where you are at yet? We got our first frost! And it is only just above freezing. I love it!

If you knit, do you block? Do you even know what blocking is?

Basically blocking is usually soaking a finished object in water for a certain amount of time. Then removing and allowing to dry.

This gives you a chance to shape the garment if needed (example lace shawls) or just allow the garment to relax (cables or texture).
