I’ve thrown in the towel and officially staged with AI 🙃
I refinished this beautiful piece for a client in December and didn’t have the time (or space) to style like I planned. It is going in her home in Pinehurst and I thought AI did a great job imagining that.
This color is Vintage Denim One Hour Enamel - very similar to the Ralph Lauren Cornflower Blue we were going for but with the durability and finish of OHE. Stone & Brass hardware I’ve had in my stash of hardware - just waiting for the perfect piece ✨

Nothing went according to plan with this antique rocker. I bought it damaged and planned to restore it. After many hours of repairs, sanding, stripping, cleaning and then ignoring it for months out of frustration, I decided to take a leap with a color outside of my comfort zone and do something different. Classic antique style with a twist!

What a journey this one has been!! Very much outside of my comfort zone with this color on a chair I never intended to paint. 🙃 I was minutes away from giving up on her - the restoration being entirely too involved for any upside when I decided to make repairs and paint. It was really difficult for me not to fall into my standard navy blue, green or black favorites! Nothing about this project went according to plan so I decided to continue with that theme and try something new: Dark Mahogany! So so many of you replied to my stories in favor of this color, so here she is! A beautiful antique rocking chair with a modern twist. I hope she’ll find the perfect home!

I wish I would have painted them years ago!! (How often do we say this about projects we continue to put on the back burner)? All this rainy winter weather finally gave me pause long enough to do a home project I’ve been wanting to do for years: add some color to our living room! Our home is open concept and adding this green to the living space really helped add some separation between the kitchen and living room- two distinct spaces instead of a continuation of white & tan. Green has always been my favorite color and this one, “Shade Green” is exactly what I was looking for here.
I shared the process of this project in stories as I was working on it and will post a reel soon. One Hour Enamel was actually made for cabinetry because of its durability before it spilled over into the furniture painting world. The process was simple - took a couple of days (could have finished sooner) and I used about 2.5 quarts of paint.

A rustic farmhouse update (swipe right for the before photos)! Transitioning from a farmhouse style isn’t difficult to do - it’s simply a matter of investing time to strip away all the wax and texture that was so wildly popular years ago. My customer wanted to go with a dark and bold navy blue to better fit her space. She chose my favorite navy blue: Raven, One Hour Enamel. It turned out just as we had hoped! I’ve linked the paint here for anyone interested in refreshing a piece in this color.

“Grand Millennial” style! LOVE this decor trend and so happy I was able to find this incredible set with minimal damage and a relatively easy fix with only refinishing the tops (swipe right to see how I found them). What do you think about a younger generation embracing antique or vintage styling in their homes? Im 100% on board (shocker)!

Need some nightstand design inspo? It’s always fun to look back at past projects (some of these were commissioned… my personal design choice is always black, natural wood or green). As I continue work on restoring the “highly coveted oversized nightstands” I like to remember where I started years ago. I think about what has changed in my style and process (if anything). There are a variety of styles I’ve dabbled in over the years… I can say for certain the only thing that will never change: it has to be vintage 😎
