Some people are laughing at my shop closing.
This is what I have to say to them.....First and foremost, that’s just gross! Finding pleasure in someone else’s pain is truly diabolical. I would rather fail every day of my life than celebrate someone else’s struggle—or laugh while they’re hurting. If that’s what makes you feel good… I genuinely hope you find peace.
But plot twist: this isn’t a failure. And it’s definitely not the end.
I may be sad to say goodbye to the physical location, but The Bead Bar isn’t going anywhere.
We’ve been here longer than you’ve even had the idea—and this past year was anything but a loss.
Given your perpetual hate and selfishness, you might not see it that way—and that’s okay.
I don’t need you to.
The people who matter know I showed up, built something meaningful, and made others feel seen, welcomed, and inspired. Because years ago, I took a tiny table with a few beads and turned it into the first—and still the largest—Bead Bar around.
You’re not laughing at my end.
You’re reacting to your own insecurity about how you began.
This journey was never about competition, not for me. It was always about creating joy and community through creativity.
And I did that. So well, in fact, you’re happy to see me go.
But here’s the thing:
I’m not really going anywhere.
I chose this transition. I did what I came to do. I know what I built.
And I know what comes next.
So here’s to the final weekend at The Bead Bar in its current form—
Not a goodbye. Just a reset.
Because creating our own happiness often means:
growing and evolving,
choosing growth over comfort,
choosing to show up for others—even when it costs us,
and choosing integrity over validation.
