When collecting recipes from magazines or friends, slide them in a clear page-protector and organize them by category (appetizers, salads, main dishes, and desserts). Then put the pages in a 3-ring binder for a quick-reference guide!

When organizing a closet, put like-items in a clear Rubbermaid container. Then, write a summary of what is inside on an index card attached to the visible end - it will save you a ton of time when you're looking for something.
