To all of the amazing teachers who pushed through so much last year. I see you. I’m amazed by you. I’m grateful for you. 🤍

At the post office, the woman ahead of me in line turned to me and said, “Well, I did it. Don’t ask me how I did it. But I did it.”
I nodded. I smiled. I had no idea what she was talking about.
“I’m a third grade teacher,” the woman said. “I know who you are, and what I’m telling you is that I read out loud to them. Every day. Somehow, I read out loud to them every school day of this year.”
I could feel myself tearing up. “You have no idea what you gave to those kids,” I said.
“But that’s the thing,” the teacher said. “I do know. It’s what held us together.”
“I believe that,” I said.

And I do believe it.
Teachers, I don’t know how you did it, but you did it.
You held—you are holding—us together.

Math 2.0 Day! Celebrating the blend of technology and mathematics!

Watching my boys learn and build things has re-invigorated my interest in math (even though I'm not great at it!) Are you math lovers in your house?

If you’re on this level, you’re my people.
Jumped into the next book this weekend, and while I LOVED the series and cannot wait for the next season, 99% of the time the character development makes the books hit deeper for me.

Notable adaptations I’ve loved:
📕 Little Fires Everywhere: both book and series were 🔥
📖 The Devil Wears Prada: one of my fave movies AND books. Both carry their own weight in their own right
🪣 The Help: If you haven’t read this, make time to. ASAP. So good.
🌟 The Time Travelers Wife: not everyone’s cup of tea but my FAVE book. They did the movie so much better than I expected.
