Honey is on my mind! This year has seen a great honey harvest both for my self as well as other beekeepers in the area. At this time there are two varieties of honey. The tulip poplar trees were loaded with their signature tulip-shaped blooms and the bees made good use of them, producing a beautiful amber honey, rich in anti-oxidants. The basswood and sourwood trees bloomed heavily allowing the bees to make a lovely golden honey.
