What a great day we had celebrating one of TJ’s good friends and his new bride. It was such a blessing to see all of TJ’s friends together again as well as all of their parents. We’ve spent many years together traveling for all of their ball games and we wouldn’t change a minute of it. Even after high school and college, they’ve remained close friends no matter where life has taken them. I just love their bond🩷🩷

I guess the next time we are all together again will be for TJ and Kyndra’s wedding next year🤗🤗🤗

🎀Here’s our journal prompt for today🎀

Today’s journal entry, if you’ve followed along with my prompts, will be more of a reflection entry. Look at the challenge(s) you listed for May 1st…write down any changes big or small even if the situation hasn’t changed. If it has changed and been resolved…celebrate the victory and repeat this the next time something comes up.

Again…if it hasn’t…We all know our God is an on time God and His timing is perfect. So if your situation hasn’t been completely resolved yet…focus on what has changed since the beginning of the month. Continue praying about it and do all you can do to get closer to a resolution to the problem(s).

A delay from God is not a denial. It just means He is preparing either you, the circumstances, or a better answer.

1 John 5:14-15
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him."

If you are praying, He is listening. The alignment with His will ensures that the answer will come exactly when it is supposed to.🩷

🎀Here’s our journal prompt for today🎀

Putting on your "spiritual armor" is a great way to mentally and emotionally ground yourself before stepping out into the world. The world can be cruel sometimes and we need to learn to protect our peace and handle criticism without taking it personally.

🎀Know Your Worth: Remind yourself of who you are before the day starts. When you are grounded, other people’s words can't shake you.

🎀When criticism comes, pause and breathe. If it’s helpful, keep it…if it’s just negativity, let it go.

🎀Walk away from negative conversations. You don’t have to be a part of every argument. Walking away is always the best way to protect your peace.

🎀Focus on your passion…what brings you joy. For me, that’s my crafting. Pour your energy into creating and doing what you love. Staying busy with positive things leaves no room for the noise and criticism. Filter the bad, focus on the good.

Ephesians 6:13-17:

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground... Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
