Thank you to whom ever the sweet man was that paid for my breakfast burrito this morning at the Smithfield McDonalds!! How kind was that!!!! Also, want to say how much better I’m doing these days, I feel like my old self again!! The world looks brighter these days now that the heaviness is removed from my life and I have a fresh new outlook on life! Thank you Father in Heaven and for all the prayers that have been offered in my behalf! We are stronger than we think we are! We can be resilient when we choose to put the faith and effort necessary into our healing. Building boundaries is important as well as taking care of our mental and physical self!
I appreciate all of you friends who have helped me realize this and haven’t given up on me while I was healing/ hiding in my “cave”!

It’s been so hard for me to post this. My sweetheart of 43 years passed away yesterday morning. My heart hurts so bad right now. He was my mystery blind date when I was 15 years old, a red headed cowboy, totally different than what I thought I’d ever date! He stole a kiss from me on that date as he walked me to my front door, I was shocked because I would’ve never kissed a boy on my first date! But as time went by he lassoed my heart, and I fell hard for that boy! He’s my best friend, my project partner, my rock and best dad to our children.
His red hair fit! He was feisty, a risk taker, funny, a fiercely loyal friend, and extremely hard worker. He helped me create my dream of owning our own little farm throughout his past 10 years while fighting leukemia 4 times. Through his trials he became a compassionate man, always taking time to lift others and showing gratitude to our Heavenly Father for all the help he received from others.
We want to thank our doctors and nurses (and staff) at the Huntsman Hospital. We have SO many close relationships with you all , we thank you and love you with all of our hearts! We also want to thank all of our family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and communities that we’ve lived in, you all are such blessings to our family! We’ve truly been blessed with our village!

Scott’s funeral will be held on Saturday, September 9th, on his birthday! His viewing will be held at Webb mortuary here in Preston Idaho on Friday night, the 8th, from 6-8pm. There will be a viewing at the Preston North State Center Saturday morning from 10 AM until 12 PM with the funeral starting at 12:00. We will post more details and addresses for both places and links as soon as we can.

This is a sampling of the good parts of Scott’s week! He’s been able to go outside and work a little bit in the garden and around the yard, thanks to these two, Mark Barber and Ron (my brother), and a handful of our dear neighbors! I guarantee that he will try to keep as busy as his body will allow him until the very end! What a dear man!

I think about my stolen quilt every year at this time, and the journey that it took me to design and create this. It was stolen from a quilt store in Utah, and some selfish person who didn’t think much of the creator or anyone else but their self. I wonder if they will ever feel bad enough to return it to the store so that I might get my favorite piece of art back it took years to create this from start to finish. I drew the pictures while I was an art teacher at the high school, my students gave me input and we enjoyed that journey together. And then to stitch it, and embellish it, and put it together, took a year. One of my dearest quilter friends that I have ever been blessed with in my life quilted this using her art talents, it will never be like any other ones that we could ever reproduce. It is still heartbreaking. I hope it’s not rolled up in a bag or tossed aside in someone’s basement, maybe they have it hanging up every year and to find some enjoyment from it or return it back to the store which is what I pray for.

Dear friends out there, my most prized quilt called "Welcome To The North Pole has been stolen from a quilt shop in Utah while it was on display! I'm putting this photo out there to ask for your help in sharing this post, in hopes that someone might see this and have a heart to please return it to me or to the store Pine Needles. This took over a year to design, sew, and embroider this quilt, it means so much to me. Thank you for sharing this message!

Crafting with Krae Friday!!! He go to come for this weekend and the first thing out of his mouth was, “Gramma can we make something!??” Can I just tell you how much that meant to me?!! And then he said, “I’m going to be an artist when I grow up.. well, ya know, I already am!” He has such confidence, he has learned so much that I have no doubt he’ll be a good artist, …well you know, he already is!😂❤️❤️
We cut the bottom of straws to use as a funky paint brush & Qtips for the ornaments!

Yesterday while it was snowing, and I was stuck inside for a little bit I crafted these little houses that I had purchased from Michael’s and scrapbook paper came from JoAnn’s. The pink Christmas bug has bit me! But I can’t do away with my red and white check, and black and white, buffalo plaid quite yet!
