Subject: Important Update Regarding 118 Bennett Drive Plaza
Dear, Community Members, Customers, and Friends,
We are aware of the recent notice issued by the City regarding our location at 118 Bennett Drive plaza, and we understand the confusion and concern it has caused. Your immediate support has been incredibly heartwarming, and we want to assure you that we are taking this matter very seriously.
What is Happening:
On 05/14 we received information via social media (highly unprofessional) knowing where Dana is at all times most probably outside in the parking lot paving, it was never an issue when Tim was employed by the city of presque isle for him to show up snoop and hide in service corridors and vacant spaces trying to find something that goes against code, what's the difference in taking a ride over to the mall and discussing said issues not knowing we already had a plan of action and was not concerned because we were told by eastern fire we were okay with that location temporarily being turned off (with no electricity in said space which poses 0 fire danger). And since the rest of the OCCUPIED spaces were protected, we found out that everyone was to vacate our property by may 14 from the City's Code Enforcement department. The notice cited issues regarding the sprinkler system for the vacant former Sherwin Williams location, we had a minor sprinkler leak which prompted Eastern Fire to temporarily shut down that location but the remainder of the building was fully protected should a fire break out (power was also turned back on in that vacant Sherwin Williams space 2 1/2 weeks prior to Tim St Peter started to conduct his "investigation tactic and to create panic with all our tenants. We want people to shop and have local tenants within caribou but the city is making it awfully difficult to have businesses which is extremely sad We are absolutely appalled on how this was handled by him scaring our tenants to the point where we are loosing 2 retail locations which is absolutely heartbreaking. To the tenants of 118 Bennett drive we are very sorry you had to endure something as obscene from a city that is supposed to help one another they said it in the meeting but they sure as heck are not proving it. Moving forward if anyone would like to speak to Dana that is currently a tenant at said location please give him a call he would like to talk to you and try to assist you anyway he can he is open to any ideas.
Ps: the sprinkler system has been fixed All we needed was 1 (one) sprinkler head
Ceiling tiles were taken down and replaced with new ones (hence the pile of old tiles in the front of the store)
Last but not least: We are ever so grateful for the city of Presque Isle constantly working with us and standing by our side in a positive way anyway they can unlike caribou where they like to publicly drag someone's name in the ground
