A Great Cooling Option under $75!
With two 3D Printers, there’s typically one printing and the other not. That usually means it needs attention for recalibrating or more filament, etc. learning to prototype in 3D added, literally, a year. That was just to learn how to software create and how to print. I bought the latest printer a couple of months ago (Flashforge Adventurer 4), which I’ll be selling as soon as our Bambu Carbon X1 3D Printer arrives. Interested parties for the Flashforge should pm me through Facebook Messenger.
Ok? So, we are stilllling Riding Jeans, but I ship those out personally, so I can make sure it has the correct protectors included. Amazon goofed that up and I reported that to them; so, they shipped all jeans back to me.
Well, in the USA and seasonably hot parts of the world, we got through another summer. While I plan on the Helmet A/C being available then, I took notice of other cooling units, particularly those that hang around the neck. First the tec; it uses the same technology I’m using for the Helmet A/C. But, there are LOTS of these units now online for sale; Amazon and EBay included. I tested a lot of these, even riding with those that can be worn with a helmet; and have findings to report. First, the cooling effect requires lots of DC electricity. So, units with batteries less than 5000 amp hours—-forget those! Three critical factors in the decision are battery equal or more to 5000 amp. hours with ability to use with a powerbank battery of at least 10,000 amp. hrs. while in use; giving you 😚 hours of cooling use.
Next, the aluminum ‘pads’ that get cold must cover your carotid arteries, on each side of the neck. These cool the blood flowing to your brain, then circulate through your body, cooling you down. Finally, a good fan with 3 speeds. After a couple of minute’s use, you stop noticing the cooling effect. BUT, you’ll notice that you stopped perspiring. Yep, it works great!
In all my testing, only -1- make and model performed this well. I may carry it, selling it for under $75. It’s got some other cool features, which I’ll say more about in the next post. A photo of it is below.
