This is my last week of Craft Show Production for the year. I'll be in Wahoo this Friday and Saturday for Wahoo Winterfest. This event is sponsored by Angie Lyda Craft, of Sassafras Galleria and The Backroom. Angie is the Rockstar of Promotion and Organization of these Events. No One does a better job bringing the shoppers to her events for a great experience. This year, she added a THIRD building at the Wahoo Fairgrounds. Trust me, the people will fill those parking lots all weekend long!
Here are samples of what I'm bringing. After participating in 5 other shows this season, I have a pretty good idea what people are looking for. From me, they want unique, colorful, affordable gifts for the people they care about. I think I'm definitely the Anti-WalMart, Anti-Amazon, Anti-Cookie Cutter Gift Supplier. There are literally no other duplicates of what I make. Since every flower is unique, even I can't make two of anything the same!
So I'm stocking up on my Double Glass Pictures this week. The 5x7 Picture I can sell for $15.00, so I've had people buying multiple pictures to use as gifts. The same goes for the Single Decade Rosaries, Bracelets and Keychains. The Fresh Wreaths are being made by my daughter, Molly Lewis and her Fiance Arien Moore. We know the fully Blinged-Out Wreaths with Big Bows make that BIG statement people want. And for $25.00, you simply can't find them anywhere else. Even my sister, MariSue Wurdeman has contributed to my cause.. Her Christmas Cards with Pressed Flowers are beautiful and unique.
So I guess this is what I've learned about people at these events. I've talked with a lot of really nice, good people. The ones that buy something at my booth want items that are Real, Unique and Affordable. A gift that shows they care doesn't come from the big box store. Even if they're giving someone money, they want something personal to go with it. When you think about it, it's a pretty cool concept.
