UPDATE: We went to Bald Creek Elementary in Burnsville, NC to serve a meal to the volunteers who were working at the supply center and for anybody who came in to get supplies.
We had a few hiccups to start with took a little longer to get across the mountain we expected and we were a little late opening, but we also stayed a little later to try to feed as many as we could.
These volunteers work tirelessly and made the process look effortless. They were so appreciative and so nice just really good folk, it was really humbling.
There was a steady stream of supplies being brought in people sorting those supplies, other people delivering supplies to people that couldn’t get to them Neighbor helping Neighbor and we were so proud to be a part of that today.
My daughter, Toni, who is a resident of Burnsville helped me today. The rest of My eight year old granddaughter handed out waters and poured sweet tea for people and when I tell you, this girl has got the knack for this type of work she definitely does. I was so proud of her. Thank you Patience.
I apologize for not having any pictures. But from the time we opened to the time, we finally closed. We had no time to take pictures.
Shout out to my friend and coworker, Suzan who donated to help me a little bit with the cost.
We will be doing this again on Thursday. I will update with the location. We are still trying to work that out.
Again, thank you for reading and please share
