This morning, after a prompting of the Holy Spirit, I decided to come spend my prayer time in The War Room. The first thing I noticed was that the Bible I had left here for people to highlight their favorite verse was open to a different page.
This morning, it was open to what I needed.
I know I'm not the only one who needs this reminder. Had I not been here for my prayer time, I wouldn't have found a problem before it had gotten worse.
This, my friends, is how the Lord works. We have to heed His prompting, even when we don't know why. There is always a reason, even if we never figure out what that reason is.
We have an enemy that prowls around like a roaring lion, looking to devour anything in his path. We have to be on guard, wearing the full armor each and every day, knowing that we are protected by our Heavenly Father, who goes before us and guides us in the way we should go.
We just need to listen.
Father God, thank You for showing up this morning. Thank You for showing up on the days that I don't. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your love, and Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Father God, I come to You this morning and thank You that Your Word says You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Lord, You are good and faithful.
I ask that today, Lord, You bless the path that my feet are on. Direct me as to what to do and how to do it. Keep me moving, keep me focused, and remove any distractions.
Lord, Your Word says that You prepare a way before us, and now we just need to walk in it. Help me to walk with wisdom and discernment and in Your way today, Lord.
Please bless this day and all it entails.
