Hello Summer! Happy Memorial Day! Well there it is; summer has "officially" arrived. And with that we also thank all those who served and continue to serve our Country. Thank you.
The sun is trying to push its way through the clouds and warm up a chilly off-shore breeze in Portsmouth but it's a great day to walk around town and start your summer off with a good local kick. Well said. Can't say how true this is!
Portsmouth's character is disappearing FAST!
It seems the towns definition of helping locals is by taking away free parking and offering a lower price to just Portsmouth locals. Forget all our workers that come in from the surrounding Seacoast area to work in Portsmouth. Oh wait, you get .33 hr rate as a Portsmouth area employee plus .65 to use app. Still no longer free. (.33 x 8 hr day= 2.64 x 20 days a month min.= $52.80 a month x 12 = $634.00 a year) Thanks.

Yes indeed, these are all items in my repretoire. While I may not have worn my Murray’s Reds in awhile nor opened my “Preppy Handbook” in eons, these items helped me lean into New England life after a not-so-easy move from NY to MA in high school.
My biggest “influencer” was my friend Gabi. We meet in art class. She expanded my introduction to NE and shared in my delight of experiencing places I had only read about in my Preppy Handbook.
Today Gabi runs an amazing business appropriately called , full of classic, New England–inspired designs. Go check her out and get your summer New England vibe going!

Sometimes (and lately, a lot) it feels like the universe is rapidly unraveling. But fear not! Happiness is still up for grabs in our own little corner of the world.
