I understand why a lot of people don’t like grading comics, but grading is very important, mainly when passing down that collection to another family member or kids. This is a topic some people don’t talk about enough when it comes to grading, but believe it or not, it’s easier to take advantage of someone with a raw collection than a graded collection. I bet there are stories of people taking advantage of someone else's collection that was passed down to them, but you're probably thinking, why is it better to grade your collection when it’s time to pass it down to a family member? Well, that’s because it’s easier to price and easier to look up the books in question, but pricing raw comics can be different. You got to know the condition, you got to look through the pages, you got to make sure nothing is missing, and you got to find the condition of the book and then the price in that condition, and that’s tough, mainly when you have over 10000 comics. But with grading, you just look at the number 9.8 and the title of the comic and then look it up on Gocollect or GPAnalysis, but if you like raw comics, that’s totally fine, but just educate your family or kids when you are about to pass them down to them so they know what they have to do whenever they want to sell or whatever because let me tell you, people will take advantage of anybody nowadays; it’s the sad reality we live in, but if you still hate grading, that’s fine.
I didn’t write this somebody else did. I just copied it. Enjoy the read it’s very important.
