Jackpot Records began in 1997 in Portland, Oregon's Hawthorne neighborhood as an independent retailer set on getting music into the hands and ears of the people who love it. Jackpot Records is founded on the idea that the music matters, offering a wide selection of both New and Used Vinyl Lp's and cd's. In 2004, an independent record label of the same name was born into the Jackpot Records family.

In its current conception, Jackpot Records operates as a reissue label featuring albums and bands that have been seminal within their respective genres. Currently To date, Jackpot Records has reissued over 70+ works from such artists as: The Wipers, Etta James, Sun Ra, DEVO, and more. Care is paid to giving each album the most authentic and true-to-form representation, with all recordings taken from the original master tapes whenever possible.

However he went largely unnoticed in his life, with only some hardcore fanatics knowing the genius of his singular and self titled studio album. Somehow perfect for Sunday mornings, introspective nights, and as the second disc of this box is titled, Rainy Days, all at once. Here is a collection of his works that were not properly compiled before, all in a 3 disc set. You'll only find the before mentioned Rainy Days on streaming though, the full band recordings he made are exclusive to the vinyl box set released by .
