Nicest item in my haul yesterday, coming soon to Book Happy Booksellers inventory, once Ken does a few repairs. The Story of Man, late nineteenth century, with expected late nineteenth century prejudices. The weird thing is that I bought it knowing it was probably a smallish-value mass produced item, but the front cover & color plates were so nice, I had to get it, albeit, at a reduced price after I noted the condition issues to the seller. My initial research however, yields no copies available online, with a few hints that it may be scarce. We shall see. In any case please enjoy the pictures.

Our latest acquisition! The only copy of this classic I've ever seen with a DUSTJACKET! Dated 1935 and a likely first edition.

Apparently it's Small Business Saturday. Buying from small businesses rather than large ones may look simple, but online, it's a bit more complicated. Book Happy Booksellers is so small that it's more cost-effective for us to sell only through the large online platforms (Amazon, ebay, Abebooks, Biblio, Etsy, etc.) rather than support our own website. So if you want to buy books from a small business it's OK to go to large websites to buy from them. Just sayin'.
