17 years ago today, we opened the doors of Gravity Records for the first time. β£

17 years later, a lot of laughs, a lot of tears, good times, bad times, haters, naysayers, backstabbers, late nights, early mornings, rescued dogs, windfalls, pockets lookinβ like rabbit ears, an π€π£ππ€ππ£π π₯ππ£πππ’ππ, and more ups and downs than any business should ever have to go through, and we are π¦π§πππ here. We are π¦π§πππ doing what we love, π¦π§πππ your favorite record storeβs favorite record store, π¦π§πππ have the baddest dogs (), and π¦π§πππ doing what we can to help this city that Iβm proud to call my hometown.β£
β£
Ya see, business isnβt all dollars folks. Itβs mostly sense. Sense of community, sense of duty, sense of honor, and in our case, a sense of history. βItβs rules to this $h!t, I wrote me a manual.ββ£
β£
We wanted to throw yβall a party. Bands, beers, good tunes and good times. With πΏππ‘π©π on the rise, the time ainβt right for that kind of celebration or ANY celebration to be honest. I could write another lengthy post on that (and probably will soon) but I digressβ¦β£
β£
I wonβt be around the shop this weekend to commemorate our milestone with yβall as me and my ride or die will be on the road digging up some vintage vinyl artifacts for the home town homies and all of our customers around the world. However, my guys will be in the shop all weekend holding it down, crackinβ jokes, and serving up musical history.β£
β£
To be honest, those guys are the ones you should all be celebrating anyway. Give them their flowers. Without them, Gravity Records would not have made it through the last year let alone be thriving and growing more than ever! Those guys are my allstars. My family. I will do everything in my power to make sure my team have everything they need to survive, thrive, and succeed in their lives in and out of Gravityβs pull. β£
β£
Gravity is family. Gravity is forever. β£
β£
Thank you all for everything. I owe you one.β£

With gratitude,β£
