In 1908, the National Child Labor Committee hired Lewis Hine to travel around the country, photographing and reporting on child labor, and its effects on the health and welfare of children. These 5 large format photographs have been custom colorized and framed behind archival acrylic. Each frame is custom colorized, and adorned with an antique relic representing the subject matter. Hine’s photos were remarkable, poignant portraits of these children and helped to influence the passage of laws banning child labor.
