September is Bali Blue Month for Subs!

For nine years Bali Blue was our best-selling coffee at Kopi Coffee House.

Once a year, in September, (Virgo Season) we feature this coffee in our monthly subscription service.

Plus!- This year is special because back in March, we had the opportunity to tour the small family farm where Bali Blue is grown.

Take a trip with us in our new blog post and our new walking tour video on YouTube.

A crowd favorite, the Bali Blue is a flavor bomb of citrus and raspberries. Makes for an unforgettable cup of coffee.

This month’s subscription coffee takes us to the Pyin Oo Lwyn mountain province of Myanmar, with some of the first legal trade after their first elections held in 2015 after 60 years of military rule closed their borders to trade and travel.

The bean is a Natural Process, aka dry, the oldest method of coffee processing. It involves drying coffee cherries whole without the use of water or machines to remove any fruit. This often leads to a more fruit forward flavor profile (like our Best Seller: Bali Blue), in this case:
RED APPLE, VANILLA BEAN, and TANGERINE.

This roast offers the smooth body of a high quality Indian coffee as well as the complexities of a rich Indonesian brew. A truly unique cup of coffee.

For this month’s coffee subscription, we're highlighting our roast for James Beard Award Winning Restaurant, Berlu.

A couple of years ago, Chef Vince Nguyen started a bakery featuring his take on Vietnamese Baked Goods and reached out to us to provide a unique roast from our farm-direct coffee from South Vietnam.

“The bakery was a pivot during the lockdown, but it was my introduction to cooking Vietnamese food, offering me a connection to my heritage. I like to apply my western/fine dining background to traditional Vietnamese pastries, offering something unique. We're also gluten/dairy-free because I have a sensitivity to both.” - Vince Nguyen

This coffee is limited to subscribers and in-store at Berlu’s bakery.

To Our Loving Customers,

You may have noticed some changes happening lately at the shop. After 8.5 years of serving coffee to our community, we, Nacko & Shua, have embarked on a new chapter, thus stepping away from our beloved brick and mortar.

Moving forward, Kopi will evolve into an exclusively coffee-roasting business under our Pagi Coffee Merchants name (transitioning this Kopi IG page into Pagi, so stay tuned here). This transformation will allow us to continue diving into new coffee experiences through our online store, blog, and selective retail businesses while staying true to the original vision: providing a unique experience adding to our local coffee conversation. So your continued support with Pagi bags purchases online, and at retail spaces like No Preference & Wajan are still much appreciated!

Rest assured, our Pagi beans and famous artisan lattes will continue to be available at the shop which is under new ownership as “No Preference Coffee.” The new owner, Bryce, is a long-time local coffee veteran and is committed to maintaining the high level of excellence and dedication to the craft that you have come to expect from Kopi. We wish him all the best!

We are thrilled to share that we have embarked on an extensive coffee farm tour of Thailand, Indonesia, and beyond! This journey underscores our commitment to fostering and nourishing relationships with our favorite families and their farms. By deepening these connections, we aim to continue bringing you exceptional beans, enriching your coffee experience with the stories and flavors of these remarkable origins.

Kopi Coffee wouldn't have been the same without our amazing crew. A huge debt of gratitude is owed to the teams over the years. You’ve contributed immeasurably to the heart and soul of this place, weaving the rich tapestry that Kopi Coffee represents with your hard work & love. You all have made this a welcoming place for all. We're honored to call you our colleagues and recognize many of you as incredible friends.

We want to express our immense gratitude for everyone’s support. It has been a great privilege to serve you and continue to serve through our next chapter.
