This book describes the author's travels in Europe. Countries visited were: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Italy, France and Spain.

ALMANACS
We have dozens of really, really OLD ALMANACS. We are bringing them to the Book Fair.
The oldest is 1762.
We will have them for sale at $1 per almanac. The condition is not great, especially for the oldest ones.
Buy a piece of history for $1.
We will have other interesting offerings in history. Also some neat fishing books. And lots of children's books.
Come to the Book Fair - more than 60 Book Sellers.

Book buying
I had a guy call me and ask if I was interested in buying some of his World War II books. He was moving and was going to sell his books.
So on Saturday, Ilse and I went to look at the books. He had between 600 and 700 books. They were in stacks on shelves and on the floor. That's a lot of books!
Unfortunately someone had broken into his house. There was a big window broken out in the front room. So the heat was turned off. It was chilly - no it was really cold!
We spent over an hour looking at books, but just couldn't stay any longer. I bought 7 bags (50 books). When we left, we were frozen stiff. We stopped at a little restaurant and each got a cup of coffee so we could wrap our hands around the cups and thaw our fingers.
I got some interesting titles. I wish I could have gone through the books more slowly, but it was just too cold.
(He has since sold the remaining books to another book seller.)

Big Book Sales this weekend!

We are having a book sale this weekend in conjunction with the big sale at Longfellow's Books

We have lots of history, some fiction, and more. We have some children's books including almost 500 Little Golden Books.

We had a nice time book hunting this weekend. We found some interesting books on Yoga, a few books on Northwest history and some interesting old children's books.
We got this particularly nice little set LETTERS ON YOGA by Sri Aurobindo.

We have Turcica, R***e d'Etudes Turques, Issues I - XVIII, complete. Culture, history, and language of the Turkic peoples. Published in Paris and Strausburg, 1970-1986. In French.

We have an amazing set of journals on the country Georgia in Eastern Europe in our Ebay store right now. 30 issues from 1957 to 1984, including the index. Printed in Paris, the articles are mostly in French, with some in English, German or Italian. Some illustrations and maps. A treasure trove for the Eastern European scholar.

Here it is, spring, and our thoughts turn to Road Trips. I have just the book for you. Westward Hoboes tells of a driving trip through the American West in the 1920s in a Cadillac Eight. It has some great pictures, including three of fording a river in the car. Available on our Etsy store.

We have added 7 vintage Nancy Drew books with their original dust jackets to our Etsy store. Three have the jackets with the white spine, and four have the wrap-around picture. All seven are hardbacks with the blue tweed covers.
