I adore anything oceanic and have a wonderful partnership with Black Market Pearls as one of thief jewelers. I have an Etsy store however I features mostly my dreadbead designs. I tend to use social media (IG: ChloeCalypsoPdx) as inspiration to my customers to collaborate on a custom piece designed around your style, favorite colors or budget!

A little throwback to one of my favorite repairs ✨

This Edwardian beaded bag came to me with some wear along the top edge, and some major shredding of the design on the other side. I knew right away it deserved to be restored as thoughtfully as possible. The challenge? Those tiny, iridescent vintage beads are nothing like what’s made today.

So I went on a hunt.

Digging through old stock, comparing finishes, sizes, and that subtle glow you only get from antique glass… until I found beads that blended seamlessly into the original work. No shortcuts — just patience and a lot of squinting.

There’s something really special about bringing a piece like this back to life. Every bead carries a bit of history, and getting to step in (briefly) as part of that story is one of the things I love most about what I do.

Repairs like this are slow, meticulous, and honestly a little obsessive… but so worth it.

Behind the scenes of pearl life…

When I drill pearls, sometimes a little surprise comes out with the drill — water that’s been trapped inside the pearl since it formed. And after years inside an oyster… well… let’s just say it needs a little freshening up.

So these gorgeous Edison pearls are getting the full scrub-a-dub treatment today. Once they’re clean and glowing again, they’ll be ready to turn into jewelry.

There’s a lot of love (and a little pearl spa day) behind every piece. ✨

The tiniest treasures from the sea, finished and on their way. 🌊✨

This carved octopus Tahitian pearl is pure ocean magic — swirling detail, deep silvery tones, and that quiet strength the sea always carries.

Paired beside it, a luminous Edison drop pearl glowing with soft rose, copper, and violet overtones.

I just added the bails this weekend, and now they’re carefully packed and shipping off to their new home today. There’s something so satisfying about that final step — turning beautiful pearls into wearable stories.
