Ok it's either Gorilla Glue Clear or my gloves but I used titebond and no gloves and it went much better. I don't like titebond much but I'll survive.

Serious question: I can't get any kind of binding tape to stick. I'm using gorilla glue clear and I like it a lot. I'm wondering if I'm getting glue fingers on the body but no matter what tape I'm using, the tape just falls off. I've used like 6 types of tape.

I did a wash coat of shellac on top back and sides.

Any ideas?

I've been laying off the camera lately. But this one of my batch of three. My goal is to finish this one for maybe one other one too.

I've never made an unmatched guitar before but this one has a claro walnut back that was given to me and Crazy crotchy mahogany sides that was an old tabletop that came from

This is how I cut out my heels. I am not super into the way I do it but for the sort of necks I make it works.

One thing I just forgot is that it's hard to get that front face totally flat. The cutter must deviate a little from its path so that front face is subtly rounded. Annoying!

This idea that with the CNC somehow you're cheating is insane bu****it. Getting the CNC to not just wantonly destroy nice pieces of wood is something I'm still fighting with.

Anyway. Time lapse. It's cool.
