On this day 25 years ago, we presented an eclectic assortment of performances at our local Grange Hall, ranging from homegrown hardcore punk to anti-police brutality skits, Black Sea interactive noise/inflatable/toast circulation to scrap metal indie rock, angry insurgent folk to a rendezvous with marionettes negotiating lush, hypnotic rhythms. Closing it out were our friends Catharsis touring up from North Carolina.

Wherever you are tonight or tomorrow, this year or the next, make it count. If there’s anything worth remembering about 2025, 2020, 2000, it will have been crafted by our own hands, in direct opposition to authoritarianism.
