Hello my friends ❤️
I want to be as transparent as possible with my followers as I think you all deserve an explanation as to why I haven’t posted or sold online in almost a year.
In January of 2023, I decided to close my storefront and begin to sell online again. The storefront was just far too much for me to handle by myself, while also taking care of my family and adjusting to a new home. It was also costing me money to keep the doors open, so it was time to shut down and start from scratch again. I spent the month of January setting up my space and restocking all my products with full intent to start online again.
In February, when I was finally ready to begin selling again, I found out that my website had been completely shut down, which meant I also lost access to my business email and my social media linked to the website. I tried for 3 months to get everything back up and running again, and with no luck, finally just gave up in around April.
I spent the whole summer feeling discouraged that I’d ever gain access to everything again, and anxious to start over again completely from scratch. A lot of time and effort was just gone in a blink of an eye. Finally, a few months ago, I was able to gain access to my social media platforms again, but the defeat I felt was holding me back from posting anything.
I’ve taken the past year to fully think through things, reconsider how I was running my business, and even if I had wanted to try again in the first place. When I first started Rosie Bee, it was something I loved to do and wanted to share with you all. Things ended up moving way too fast for someone who did not know how to run a business. I got burnt out extremely fast but continued to push forward in hopes that things would get easier for me the more I did it, which caused even more of a burnout and exhaustion.
With everything that happened with my website and email, it was devastating, but it also allowed a much needed break. I am now ready to get back on the saddle and try again. I am in the process of restocking and working on how I will start selling again, but for now, I want to thank everyone who was there to support me the first go around.
