Paper eco printing
The process of transferring the tannins from leaves onto paper using heat, pressure and moisture.

Photos from the Uptown Street fair. It can be tricky when you are placed in the middle and have your booth open on both sides.
But it can be a fun , creative challenge to figure it out. I feel like this year's set up worked out well.
Each time I set up a booth it is different and I learn new things.

What is a farmer florist?
It's at least two jobs wrapped up under one name.
We grow all of the flowers and foliage that we use in our arrangements from seeds, bulbs, tubers, cuttings etc.
We use all in season flowers without purchasing imported flowers that have a huge environmental footprint.
We do purchase flowers from other local growers, supporting our fellow flower farmers.
We are our own planner, grower, harvester, arranger and marketer.
We sell as wholesalers, or we have roadside stands. We sell to local markets or we create one of a kind special orders for birthdays etc.
We work with couples to create their floral wedding dreams.
We put together that bit of beauty to lift you up just a little when someone you love passes on.
It is a full-time job that many of us add onto our other full-time jobs.
And like any type of labor of love, it fills us up and keeps us going even when we struggle.
