You can have high beams on, fog lights blazing, blasting Kodak Black, doesn’t matter. That Sandhill Crane is going to step out slow, look you in the eyes like you interrupted his commute, then casually cross with three of his cousins behind him like it’s a family reunion on Interstate 4.
They don’t hurry. They don’t panic. They own it. You’re the one white-knuckling the steering wheel whispering “please just keep walking.” Meanwhile they’re out here running traffic patterns better than FDOT.
