AWEN has moved and changed names. We reopened as MoonGate Metaphysical on 5/12/24. The new store is located near Lakeside Beach, on the corner of Gratiot and Holland.

For those that have wondered about the reasons for the move and the name change, here is the simple answer. We knew that each of our previous locations were temporary locations, until we could find the perfect place. With MoonGate Metaphysical we have finally found that perfect place. As for the name changes . . . Each location has it's own character and personality, and so gets it's own name based on the energy of that location. Also, we enjoy reinventing the store.

Now that we are established in our new location, we just wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude for everybody that played a part in the amazing growth that we experienced with AWEN.

To everybody that has supported the store over the last 4.5 years, to those that wrote such wonderful reviews, to our regular customers and to those that visit us yearly on their vacations, to our family members that helped make this possible, to our amazing friends of the store that stood by us through all of the challenges that we faced, to those that helped us run the store, to our wonderful tarot readers, and even to those that played a part in the challenges that we overcame . . . Thank you!

We hope that you will continue to follow our journey with MoonGate Metaphysical. Our new location has the space to host classes and events, as well as an even larger selection of merchandise. This will be our last post as AWEN, but we will continue to share MoonGate posts for a while, until our seasonal visitors have had a chance to find our new page.

After getting the rest of our cabinets moved over from AWEN we need a little time to move things around and get it all set up again. We will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, then re-open on Thursday with expanded summer hours for the Memorial Day weekend and beyond.

A call for volunteers:

I was hoping to find 3-4 strong guys that might volunteer to help Jon move the jewelry case that was our main counter at AWEN. It would take about 1 hour to load at AWEN, transport about 1.5 miles to MoonGate Metaphysical, and then unload. I would really like to do this on Monday evening 5/20, if I can find a few people to help. The time depends on when volunteers are able to show up.

The case breaks up into 3 pieces, but they are heavy and awkward to move. The best situation would be one guy on each of the four corners for the big piece. I will include some pics so you can see what I could use some help moving.

Thank you to everybody that helped our new location get off to such a great start.

Thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm. All of you really helped us start this new journey in the most positive way that we could have hoped for.

As you may have noticed, we ran out of time to finish everything that we wanted to have ready for the Grand Opening. We still have refinements to make to the sales floor areas, more counters and cabinets to hold supplies that we did not get onto the shelves for the opening, more orders from abroad that did not get to us in time for the opening, and more available space in the building than we could fully utilize on opening day. Expect plenty of exciting announcements in the near future.

PS- Thank you to all of our friends that volunteered to help with the move. We did not call on all of your offers, but they were still very much appreciated.

Special Hours for our final day . . . 5/5 at 5:55
AWEN will be closing it's doors for the last time on Sunday, May 5th at 5:55PM

This date and time have special significance to me for several reasons:
- In Numerology, 55555 symbolizes a major transformation, a period of personal growth, progress and significant change. This is the perfect time to let go of the past and step into the future.
- This is the 5th year of AWEN's existence. Elsbeth is the 5th Tarot reader that has worked at one of my stores, and she is a 5-star reader!
- This will be the 5th anniversary since the passing of my mother, Nancy. Without my mother's love and support I would not have been able to open my first store.
- The timing of the Grand Opening of MoonGate Metaphysical being on Mother's Day will be a fitting celebration of my mother's role in this, and the perfect time to step into this transformation.
- More Numerology, the date and year of the Grand Opening for MoonGate being on 5/12 and in 2024 both add up to 8's, and I have been running metaphysical stores in Port Huron for 8 years now. Those three 8's tie into the MoonGate888 handle for MoonGate Metaphysical, and 888 is associated with abundance, success and prosperity.

I look forward to sharing this Mother's Day with those that are mothers now, those that may someday be mothers, those that can't be mothers, those that choose not to be mothers, those that are mothers to fur-babies, and those that share this journey through life with them.

Announcing our new location!

Beltane Blessings to you all!
This is the perfect time to make our biggest announcement ever!

It is with a mix of excitement for new beginnings and sadness for the final days of AWEN, that we announce the Grand Opening of MoonGate Metaphysical!

MoonGate Metaphysical will be opening it's doors on Sunday, May 12th at Noon. We have a bunch of new stock on the way, including many items that we have never before carried. Elsbeth will be there with a special deal on Tarot readings at $20 for a 15 minute reading.

To allow us time to complete the move AWEN will be closing it's doors for the final time at 5pm on Sunday May 5th. AWEN has been a huge part of our lives for a little over four and a half years now, and part of us will miss it. We are very grateful for everybody that supported us through all of the changes and challenges. We hope that you get a chance to visit AWEN one more time before the move. There will be about one week of downtime between the closing of AWEN and the Grand Opening of MoonGate Metaphysical, so stop in and grab whatever supplies you might need to get by. Don't let yourself run out of incense!

AWEN's page will remain active for at least several months, to make sure that even the yearly visitors to the area can find our new place. However, the best place to keep up with all of the announcements and details will be on the FB page for the new store:
