STAY AWAY from Lake Erie Thursday‼️ An incredibly angry lake after a rare mid June windstorm into Thursday whips waves up to 15 FEET on the open waters of Lake Erie. This would be extremely dangerous for any boating or recreation. Westerly gales could reach 30-35 kts with small craft advisories in effect for western Lake Erie and Gale Warnings east of the Lake Erie Islands.

All beaches would pose dangerous to potentially deadly rip current risks. Waves near shore will be 4-7 feet and occasionally to 9 feet in western Lake Erie. Waves will reach 8-12 feet from Vermillion through Erie with occasional waves to 14 feet. Do not swim at any Lake Erie Beach Thursday!

The Storm Prediction Center has just released today's severe weather outlook around the region. The level 3 "enhanced" severe weather risk has moved east to I-75. Damaging wind and tornadoes remain the biggest concern for this evening between 6pm and 1am. Stay with the First Alert Weather Team for updates.
