Sorry for the delay in posting.
The afternoon of the 1st of January 2025, The Grindstone General Store succumbed to a devastating fire.

I have received hundreds of texts, calls, emails and social media messages. Which I am still trying to respond to.

I want to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart, for the Overwhelming Love, Support and Prayers that I have received & are what has sustained me this past week and will continue going forward.

From local residents, current and past local business owners, current and years past employees and parents of employees,
friends, neighbors, customers, Village, Township, County officials and so many more.

A few I must touch on.
Port Austin Fire Dept, Harbor Beach Fire Department, Port Hope Fire Department, Kinde Fire Department and Bad Axe Fire Department for their Fast , Diligent and
heroic efforts with the over six hour long battle with our devastating fire.
Huron County EMS for tending to my injuries on site.

Our Police Chief Dale Hartzel that was at the store in 2 minutes and has been with me every day since.
Jill Babcock while still in Florida, opened a room for me at The Beachcomber that night.
Shelley & Jacquie for providing Pizza and water for the firefighters and emergency crews that night.
Dean Avola Green Clean Bean for supplying coffee for the crews and has been
tending to my burns and wrapping my hand every day since.

Ray Bozwell for securing my accommodations going forward.

So, So many others with offers for any and everything you could imagine.
This will be a long grueling process going forward, only made possible with your love, support and Prayers.

YES WE WILL BE REBUILDING THE GRINDSTONE GENERAL STORE!
I will continue updating our page as we move forward.

December 7th Saturday: 10-5
