I know a lot of you have seen me post lots of pictures of my boy Atlas. He has been the beacon of light in my life I didn't think was possible until I adopted him. I want to just take a minute to use this platform to talk about him and hopefully raise some awareness to Pitt Bulls and the beautiful kind souls that they are and bring to so many other households other than mine. Here’s my Atlas’ story:
When I first adopted Atlas he tore his CCL (cranial crucial ligament), also compared to an ACL. They told us there was a 50% chance that his other knee will also tear, something I hoped we would avoid, but alas a year and a half later now, we are now dealing with that knee. Quite candidly, I don’t have the financial means to pay for another $5,000 surgery. His last operation was paid just about in full from a GoFundMe I put together. Now that it’s his second surgery I figure I can use this platform to reach our goal.
My mission is to create awareness for dogs like Atlas and think it would be rad to donate to a rescue while raising money for my baby as well. For the month of April I want to donate 10% of every sale to Three Little Pitties Rescue. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a non-profit corporation based in the Houston, Texas area with partnerships in the Pacific Northwest.
Throughout the month, I plan on talking about them more and doing whatever I can do to give my Atlas the best life that he can live possible, as well as all the other babies this amazing organization helps.
