⛵ Tall Ships – Los Angeles | Summer High Adventure
Troop 209 is looking to fill 10 remaining slots for an unforgettable Tall Ships sailing experience in Los Angeles!

For more than 30 years, youth have discovered leadership, teamwork, confidence, and STEM skills through hands-on learning aboard a traditionally rigged tall ship. This award-winning Top Sail Youth Program blends science, engineering, environmental awareness, and seamanship into a challenging and exciting real-world adventure.

📍 Dates: June 21–27, 2026
📍 Location: Los Angeles & Channel Islands, California

🌊 What to Expect:
• Live and sail aboard a tall ship
• Sail training, anchor watch, and teamwork
• Visits to Catalina Island, Wrigley Institute, and Santa Barbara Island
• Leadership development, confidence building, and environmental learning

👤 Eligibility:
Scouts:
• Minimum age 11 by arrival date
• Scout rank or above
• Pass Scouting Swim Test
• Medical Forms A, B & C (within last 12 months)

Adults/Parents:
• Registered with Scouting America
• YPT/Safeguard trained
• Pass Scouting Swim Test
• Medical Forms A, B & C (within last 12 months)

💰 Cost:
• $1,800 per person (all inclusive: travel, hotel, sailing, meals)
• Based on 20 participants; cost may decrease with more signups

💳 Payment Schedule:
• $600 non-refundable deposit due Feb 20, 2026
• $600 due April 1, 2026
• Remaining balance due June 1, 2026
