Here is the secret on how to create the design…
only focusing on the next one or two patterns.

There’s no need to fully plan an entire mandala before starting. I don’t rush it or pressure the process. I simply decide on the next pattern and let the mandala choose its own path.

Of course, I usually begin with a loose concept. In this case, I knew I wanted a monochromatic palette, massive brushstrokes, and my freestyle flow. That’s it. A direction, not a rigid plan.

Part of becoming an artist is learning to trust yourself, your intuition, and the process—even when you don’t know exactly where it’s going yet.

Let me tell you a few things I wish I had done differently.

If you think my projects go smoothly with no hiccups… nope 😅

This one had plenty. The wood didn’t even fit in my car, I tried three different base coats before liking one, and of course I ran out of base paint halfway through.

Not every piece is perfect behind the scenes, but that’s part of the process—and honestly, part of the fun.
