Finally. Our target demographic. 😂

Little miss cutie pie grabbed a buggy and went to work this weekend like somebody else was paying the Visa bill.

Which, to be fair… somebody else was. 🤣

Y’all did the same and we LOVE YOU FOR IT. 🤎

Our vendors felt the love, our makers got to meet y’all, and a whole lotta things found new homes.

Now, doors are locked until Thursday so our vendors can refill the place.

And, yall have three days to lie to yourselves about how you’re “just coming to look.” 😉

Apparently the Tangipahoa Chamber looked at our history of saying the stuff everyone thinks but rarely says out loud and thought…

“You know what Cypress Landing needs… 👀
A live microphone.”🤣

So, our fearless leader is hitting the airwaves on Kajun 107.1 around 8:30ish with TJ Maggio talking Cypress Landing, Ponchatoula and probably whatever else comes out of her mouth once someone turns the microphone on. 🎙️

A big thank you to the Tangipahoa Chamber for setting this up and continuing to give local businesses opportunities to tell their stories. 🤎

Best case… more people learn about Cypress Landing.

Worst case scenario, we finally find out how fast they can cut to a commercial. 🤣

We’ve somehow reached a point where meeting the person who actually MADE the thing you’re buying feels unusual.

And that’s kinda sad when you think about it.

Cause behind so many things at Cypress Landing are real hands, real stories and a whole lotta heart. 🤎

Today, those people are here.

Our makers are lined up at the entrance and throughout the shops until 5.

Come taste their food. Watch them work. Get something personalized. Ask for something custom.

Or just tell them you love what they make.

Because, while buying something is cool…

Meeting the person who put a little piece of themselves into making it hits different. ♥️

We are officially getting a grandson and I have already entered the stage of being concerned about his wardrobe. 🤣

Conveniently, today is Meet the Makers Day at Cypress Landing.

So soar on in TODAY from 12–5 to meet our makers, sample some goodies and get something personalized. 😀

I can personally GUARANTEE I’ll be there having CRUZ embroidered, engraved, monogrammed or permanently affixed to anything that’ll sit still long enough. 😂💙

Cruz Lee is coming, y’all.

And his ‘Honey’ has 90 vendors at her disposal.

You know all that stuff you walk past at Cypress Landing and think, “Who even THINKS to make this?”

Well… today you get to meet them. ♥️

Because behind these booths are real people.

People who started with an idea at their kitchen table.

Who make things after work, pack orders after the kids go to bed, obsess over tiny details nobody else would notice, and get ridiculously excited when they see YOU carrying something they made.

That’s the part of Cypress Landing I wish everybody could see.

So today, you can. 🤎

Our makers will be here 12–5 taking custom orders, bringing food samples, showing off what they do and probably convincing you that you desperately need something you didn’t know existed 11 minutes earlier. 😂

Cypress Landing is having a baby! 💗💙

Okay, technically WE’RE getting a grandbaby… but at this point y’all are involved too.

Today was the gender reveal and LORD HAVE MERCY… Ms. Shirley made this cake. 🎂

Not “pretty but tastes like drywall” pretty either.

This cake was UNBELIEVABLE. The kind where everybody says, “I’m full” while actively cutting another piece. 🤣

And Sweet Southern Cravings made all the pink + blue treats because this baby apparently requires a full dessert department before even entering the world.

And now… we KNOW what it is. 👀

But Mom & Dad get to announce their own baby before Grandma hijacks the internet, so we’re behaving. 🙄

For now. 😂

Ms. Brenda has figured out my weakness and is now exploiting it for financial gain. 😂

She gives me “free samples” because she knows damn well I have the self-control of a raccoon in an unlocked dumpster. 🙄

First it was her Love Potion perfume with pheromones that had my husband acting like we just met at a Chili’s happy hour.

Now she slipped me this Rose Glow face serum… 😳

Y’ALL.

As an almost 45-year-old grandma-to-be, my face occasionally wakes up as dehydrated beef jerky. 😬

A few drops of this stuff and we’re smooth. We’re glowing. We’ve forgiven winter.

Brenda, respectfully, quit giving me drugs.

I already own the store. I cannot afford to shop here too. 😂💸🤷🏼‍♀️

Nothing like your employees getting lei’d in the middle of Cypress Landing on a Friday afternoon.

We run a very professional establishment. 🤣

Before you go calling HR, our friend Greg with the Time Cruise Band stopped by with captain hats plus a whole mess of leis to hand out before Live After Five tonight. 🌸

So here’s YOUR itinerary:

1. Come to Cypress Landing.
2. Shop
3. Get lei’d.
4. Walk across the street for the band at 7.

We close at 7. They start at 7.

That’s not scheduling. That’s divine intervention. 🙌🏼

And despite our new captains hats suggesting otherwise…

we are still not a boat launch. 🛶
