A few of my favorite things. I set this up 2 years ago in my own dining room. Problem is haven’t changed much since. And nobody should be too busy to setup vignettes…at your house. The main changes been a gradual accumulation of dust.

I saw an old post of a friend’s… it said something like I’d choose my dad in this lifetime to be my dad in any life again and again
…just adding , well if I couldn’t, I’d choose Vincent price.

As 2023 comes to a close, we are ready to (Western) swing into 2024!

We are beyond grateful for 51 years of Bob Wills Day and celebrating Western Swing and we are excited to announce the 52nd Bob Wills Day is a go we will be announcing all of the amazing bands, events and sponsors as we roll into the New Year.

As you all know, this year was a challenging one for us here in Turkey, but we have been so blessed with all of you amazing Bob Wills and Turkey, Texas friends and family. With this much love and support, we know we have at least another 51 years of amazing memories and music in our future.

We hope you are all ready to put on your dancing boots and truck on down to Turkey, because we can’t wait to see you the last week of April to celebrate the one and only Bob Wills!!

Art by our dear friend and volunteer Sarah Denmark Phillips!

PS. Don’t forget, there is no Eve of the Eve this year, but we will be tapping our toes in Turkey, Texas thinking about how blessed we are and how excited we are for 2024!!!

You never realize how versatile a dremel tool is until you make one of these on wood and put it up under the cover of darkness at the trolley stop.

Yes, we still exist. Prairie Gothic is and always will be our thing. But the right building, at the right price in the right location is our quest. As the realtors and businesses say it really is a matter of location, location, location. So the search continues.

I think it’s fair to begin counting down to Halloween.

I got this idea from new owner of Twitter and even though he did get a big response it may not have been what he expected, same here. We didn't do many popups last year but thought to test the water we might see if the Prairie Gothic FB audience had an opinion. We have struggled with the investment of getting a brick and mortar store once more or exactly where to locate it. The store was actually very successful for us and our house musical events were very popular. We have also imagined a monthly craft class with visiting artist to teach it So here's to rolling the dice,
If Prairie Gothic were to reopen an real store would you be interested in shopping our new and antique items, attend an art class and would be interested in seeing new talent perform?

____ Yes
____ No
____ Maybe
____How far would you be willing to travel?
____If you have visited us before do you have any comments on how the experience better or what would bring you back?

Our website will be up and running soon and we will be offering many items similar to what we carried in our store and more of them and yes popups are also in our future as well. Let us know what you think.

Don’t know about you but I’m ready to see what the Shelbys are up to on Peaky Blinders. We are so into it we’ve designed candles to tide us over until the new season. Ever wonder what the Garrison Public House smelled like? Pretty sure it was leather, to***co and Irish whiskey. . Can’t wait to reveal Whizzbang.
