This past weekend marked the end of an incredible chapter. Henry held his final charity bike sale before heading off to RPI where he is studying Civil Engineering and serving in the Naval ROTC unit. You helped him raise over $1,000 for the Pequannock High School Home & School Association.

Over the years, what started as a simple idea — fixing up donated bikes and giving them new life — turned into something so much bigger. With the support of this amazing community, he was able to raise and donate over $27,000 to local and national charities.

It’s been wild to watch him and Bikes by Hank grow, from his first few bikes in the driveway to full sales days with lines of cars down the street . None of it would have been possible without all of YOU — the neighbors, friends, and community members who donated bikes, stopped by to buy one, or simply shared kind words of encouragement along the way.

We’re beyond grateful for the support you’ve shown, and we hope you know the impact you’ve had extends far beyond our town. This little project showed how much good can happen when a community comes together. 💙

Bikes by Hank has one last big charity sale coming up in early August when Henry returns from Navy ROTC training — stay tuned for details!

As Henry heads off to college this fall, this may be our final event. What started as a simple idea in sixth grade grew into something far beyond what we imagined — numerous charity partners, thousands of bikes given a second life, and countless lessons learned along the way.

We’re deeply grateful for the community’s support over the years. You’ve helped turn one kid’s idea into a mission that made a real difference.

While Henry is moving on, we’d love to see Bikes by Hank continue its journey. If you or someone you know is genuinely interested in carrying the torch — someone with a heart for service , a little time to spare, and some wrenches to turn— please send us a message. We’d be happy to talk about what that could look like.

Henry was honored to be a guest speaker at Bergen Catholic High Schools Junior Leadership Academy.
He was able to help the campers build a bike to be donated and speak to them about leadership and giving back to the community.

Big thank you to Erick, the new owner of the Burley Tandem bike! All the proceeds from the sale are being donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. This is Bikes by Hanks 8th year of selling a bike to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project
