It's almost time 🧄
Every year, garlic teaches me one of my favorite lessons: good things are worth waiting for.
Last autumn, we planted somewhere between 80 and 100 cloves here at home, knowing we wouldn't harvest them until nearly eight months later. On the farm, we planted more than 500.
That's a lot of faith in a tiny clove.
Through snow, freezing temperatures, heavy rain, and everything in between, they sat quietly underground doing exactly what they were supposed to do.
And now?
The reward is almost here.
There's something incredibly satisfying about growing food that asks you to slow down. In a world that wants everything immediately, garlic reminds us that some things simply can't be rushed.
Plant. Wait. Trust.
The harvest is coming.
What's something you've planted, literally or figuratively, that required patience before you saw the results? 🌱
