This weekend, our hearts are heavy with gratitude as we pause to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day. 🕯️ It’s about so much more than the start of summer; it’s a moment to honor the incredible courage of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We are deeply humbled by their service and the peace we are lucky enough to enjoy today. 🇺🇸

Mom is usually a professional title for a full-time snack dealer, a stain-fighting wizard, and the living search engine for every missing sock in the building. Whether you are currently retreating to the pantry for a few minutes of quiet, embracing the wild chaos of a busy home, or finally relaxing in the stillness of an empty nest, you are the heart that keeps everything running. 👑

Today we are honoring every part of this wild ride. We see the moms-to-be nesting and waiting, the parents currently in the thick of it raising their littles, and the empty nesters who have successfully launched their crew into the world. 🎂 Happy 1st Birthday to our spicy little fireball, Libby! Carl and I have learned so much during this first year with our only Red Heeler—mainly that ball is life, she’s obsessed with her kitty bestie, and she is a total expert at toy surgery. 🐈

Libby has become my constant shadow, always glued to my side unless she’s perched at the window acting like a professional bird watcher. It has been such a joy watching her unique personality grow and seeing the life she brings to our home every single day. 🐦

🥳 Even with all that high energy, she is such a lady and actually savors her treats while everyone else inhales theirs. Happy Birthday, Libby—we sure do love our little red shadow!
