Hi, y’all, happy Father’s Day! Just a quick Farm Stand update from Turk Farm, we’ve restocked the stand and will be keeping an eye on it throughout the day. We’ve got sweet melons, tomatoes, onions, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, and pantry goodies available. Y’all swing by! 😋

I know this is a gnawed-up piece of melon, but my goodness, look at that color. 🍉 It’s not just a sweet melon, it’s an experience. (I’d say LOL, but I’m not kidding!)
They don’t call these Red Diamonds for no reason! We’ve been taste-testing our way through the watermelon pile, and all of these are so sweet, they remind you why summer is worth waiting for. 💚

If somebody shows up to Father’s Day with a melon that isn’t sweet, a tomato that doesn’t have that sweet-tart taste that says summer, or peas and beans you have to soak back to life…you can’t blame me, because I’m telling y’all now, we’ve got the good stuff. 🙌🌱

I know it’s June, and fall feels a long way off. But if you want big, beautiful mums in the fall, you’ve got to start long before the first pumpkin ever hits a porch. 🎃 This year we’re planting over 2,000 mums and getting ready for a season that’ll be here before we know it!🙌 Y’all don’t forget about us when fall rolls around.💚

Round of applause for the heirloom tomatoes. 🍅👏🏻That big slicer grew shoulders like it’s been working out. Meanwhile, those yellow pears sure are looking pretty. They’re also one of my favorites, sweet, mild, and just the right size. They’ve almost got a fruity flavor that’s perfect for salads…or for eating by the handful while you’re supposed to be picking. 😆 I sure appreciate heirlooms. They aren’t perfect, they aren’t uniform, and they don’t care. They just show up with a whole lot of flavor and expect you to appreciate them for who they are. There’s probably a life lesson in there somewhere. 💚
