I have spent the day cleaning out my back office and unearthing many treasures from when I first opened the store. What are some of the random things that I found?

1. A bunch of old signed cowboy poetry books - NFS, being donated to USU
2. A directory of South Dakota Legislators
3. 2 copies of the Autobiography of William Henry Harrison Beadle (1938)
4. A bunch of Harcourt Decodable books
5. A complete collection of 42 Department of History books by the State Historical Society of South Dakota

Today's highlight is Tokyo Vignettes by Zoë Kincaid, published in 1933. This book of short stories, based in Japan, is particularly interesting given its publication period, right as Japan's military aggression was rising and it withdrew from the League of Nations, following its invasion of Manchuria. Asking $150, with free US shipping included.

Today's highlight is a very special set of books on the Myths and Legends of various cultures, published by George G. Harrap & Co. in the 1920s. I have not found anything confirming it, but I believe this set and one other by Ballantyne (arriving from abroad sometime in the next couple of weeks) were the inspiration for the later Easton Press edition, which was published in 10 volumes in 1997. Asking $800, with free US shipping included.

Please note: The frontispiece of North American Indians is detached, the bottom of the spine cover for Greece and Rome is missing, and the frontispiece for Greece and Rome is also loose (though not fully detached).

FUN EVENT COMING UP!! Happening next weekend! Be sure to join us for fun, prizes, and treats! The Friends are celebrating 30 years in the community and we want YOU to celebrate with us. We will have a brief program starting at 10am. That will be followed by a scavenger hunt where you can earn raffle tickets to enter to win some awesome prizes, including a S'mores basket, book lovers basket, dinner at Texas Roadhouse and more. We will have cookies, giveaways, treats, books, and more -- for all ages. And we will have a neat surprise for the kids from Texas Roadhouse too. The scavenger hunt starts about 10:30am and will continue until 1pm. So if you can't make the program at 10am, grab the family and come anytime the remainder of the day and do our scavenger hunt and win prizes.
