In general, the store is operated like any other business. Its goal is to process donations, consider their marketability and sell them, raising money for the Plymouth SVDP Conference. When a customer "in need" shops the store, they shop as would any other customer but use vouchers issued by Vincentians for payment. Our goal is to maintain client dignity while reinforcing the importance of "smart"

shopping. Realizing the pricing at the store is set by the market, not a client's abililty to pay, is important. Customers, whether they pay with cash, credit card, or voucher, can save themselves and their family money by "thrifty shopping" at the St.
