Peony Sarah Bernhardt has ARRIVED! I’ll cut this variety over the next couple days and then she’ll be done. Crazy right?!

Friendly reminder…no one has their s**t together. But the flowers are gorgeous! 😊

This morning’s harvest included Karl Rosenfield, Kansas (both raspberry) and Gardenia (white). Early morning harvests are my fav. The bugs are still sleeping. The heat hasn’t yet arrived and the sounds…I love all the sounds!

You can all 3 of the varieties in our shop. Our roots are 3-5 eyes and ship this fall! Oh and it’s buy 3, get 1 free!. Comment ROOTS to shop.

Gardenia started to bloom overnight. She’s been a staple here for years and takes up 3 full rows for good reason. Massive creamy white blooms, a soft blush as they open, strong stems and the infamous peony scent.

Gardenia also earned the RHS Award of Garden Merit. If you’re looking to add Gardenia to your garden, you can find her in our shop. Comment ROOTS to shop. Oh and it’s buy 3 roots and get your 4th one free! šŸ™Œ

(This is a peony. The variety of peony is called Gardenia.)

Each spring, these two Cochins hatch chicks together. I’m always amazed at their patience when they have to show their chicks how to use the ramp.

🌱 Please Read 🌱

It’s crazy to think that in these little squares, Muddy Acres was born. It was through these squares I could share my wins, struggles and the journey itself. It was these little squares that provided the foundation for our business growth. These squares have allowed so much.

Geez, I feel like I’m writing a goodbye letter. Thankfully I’m not.

You may have noticed I haven’t been around much in these little squares. I’m still here but truth be told, I’m struggling to keep up with all the social and still run a business. Last week my screen time report popped up and I decided to take a look. The number that glared back at me made me question so much.

My conclusion is that I need to work smarter, not harder! (I feel like that’s my theme for 2022šŸ˜‚) I’m ready to take social media to your inbox in the form of a weekly email. Think of it as Muddy News.

With Muddy News (and no, this is not your typical newsletter), I no longer need to create content for Facebook AND Instagram. I don’t have to dance and lip sync to be seen and I don’t have to fight the algorithm. In addition, it frees up more time to be present with my family and actually grow flowers.

No more fighting the algorithm. When the flower stand is open, you will know! When we open our upick schedule, I can tell you directly. You will now receive farm updates in REAL time versus waiting for it to show up in your feed 3 days later!!!

My hope is that you continue this wild ride with Muddy Acres via your inbox. It’s possible you are already part of our email community, but if you aren’t, you can click the link below to join.

And yes, I will still be around on my FB page, just in a different way.
