You might have noticed we've had a new crop up for grabs this year:

Echibeckia!

This new hybrid flower is a cross between echinacea and rudbeckia, and we have been loving its unique color palettes and large ruffled blooms!

Some important things to know:

As far as vase life and durability, it tends to hold up more like rudbeckia than echinacea. This means it can sometimes get its stems easily clogged (as rudbeckia is considered a 'dirty' flower since it tends to muddy up water over time), so it's best if a bit of beach or a chlorine tablet is used in the water.

It also does not hold up well out of water at all, so it's not recommended for things that will be out of water for any length of time. It also isn't as tough in the extreme heat as echinacea is.

However!

For a regular indoor arrangement in a regular vessel with clean water, this new addition is STUNNING 😍 It adds both texture and acts as a color bridge, as most varieties tend to have multiple hues.

We know it's a bit early to be thinking of fall, but we already can't wait to see how this is used in autumn arrangements!! It totally screams chic, textural, moody fall vibes for sure πŸ‘Œ

Tell us - have you tried this new flower hybrid? What did you think??

Wow, you guys πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯ΉπŸ₯Ή

When we started the market from very humble beginnings all those years ago, we never could have dreamed it would become the amazing thing we witnessed today.

This morning's market smashed all previous markets in every way, and we are blown away by what your support has allowed us to become.

We love you, our beloved market community! Thank you for your passion for local flowers and your commitment to us. It means the world ❀️❀️❀️

In case you missed the newsletter last night, we just wanted to give you a heads up that we already know this week's market is going to be CRAZY busy.

Some tips for success:

1 - Arrive as early as you can within your allotted time! (So for florists that would be 9, retail shoppers at 11.)

2 - If you haven't put in your preorder yet, we recommend you do so! Those need to be in Monday by 10 p.m. This will both streamline shopping for everyone AND help guarantee you get what you need.

3 - Don't forget to bring your buckets to transport your flowers home in! (Seriously, set an alarm in your phone now!) While we try to keep extra buckets at checkout, we have started running out on busier weeks, and this week is going to be one of the busiest we've EVER seen.

4 - To try and meet demand, our growers are amping up their offerings significantly this week. We're talking driving in multiple vehicles, enlisting extra labor, all of it. So never fear! There will be an ABUNDANCE of product on the floor (and we are officially in peak lisianthus season, which was excellent timing 😁). Make sure to tell the growers thank you for all their extra effort ❀️

So come prepared to find lots of beautiful product to make your arrangements sing, and we'll see you Wednesday!

For reals though, on number four...it's 30 five-gallon buckets, with a few smalls crammed in between.

Must be peak season at the market when our cars simultaneously smell like flowers, dill, and that bucket that tipped over last week.

We do it all for you!

Every Tuesday, all of our growers everywhere gear up to harvest all the things and then play bucket Tetris in their vehicles to bring it all to you Wednesday morning!!

Kinda awesome to think that every stem at the market is harvested by hand often less than a day before by the very people serving you on the market floor.

We do it all for you! Thank you for supporting local farmers ❀️❀️❀️

Our two most anticipated crops--lisianthus and dahlias--always start with such humble beginnings. But give it a few weeks, and BAM! The tables aren't long enough to contain it all 😁

We are now only about 2 weeks out from the start of real abundance on summer crops! Buckle up 😘

Let us know which crop you wait for most eagerly down below! πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

When all the flowers appear like magic every Wednesday, it can be easy to forget that every stem was grown, nurtured, and harvested one by one by our amazing and dedicated growers (often at insane hours, with all sorts of bugs and wildlife right there in the thick of it with them).

But in the end, our growers love to work THEIR magic because it means we get to witness YOURS ❀️❀️❀️

It's a beautiful relationship that goes both ways -- you supporting us so we can support you right back πŸ₯°

Thank you for supporting local farmers by supporting local flowers!!

Now before you all drop what you're doing and run to Rooted to put in a preorder, we will mostly only have random stems here and there on the bouquet bar for a few weeks. But you guys, this means that we'll have some SERIOUS dahlia abundance this season since dahlias don't slow down once they get going...they'll only increase faster and faster until getting hit with frost in October.

July just got a whole lot more exciting to plan 😁
