Wednesday, June 17th, 2026...Here's what you can expect to find in store this week;
New titles include the 616 DAY SPECIAL from Marvel Comics, a day late since we adhere to the Wednesday release schedule, and awkwardly listed here by a title that may not actually be the title. See, it's bagged, and I cannot check what's it is really called, so...it's the 616 Day Special. On 6/ 17. Okay. Got it? Also, from Marvel, the far less problematic SPIDER-MAN: LONG WAY HOME #1 and WHAT IF?...THOR #1. From DC Comics there are no new first issues, but there's the very cool 600th (!) issue of MAD Magazine. And from Image Comics comes THE TRILLION DOLLAR KID #1, and from Dark Horse Comics come CONCRETE: STARS OVER SAND #1 and HELLBOY IN LOVE: OBSIDIAN #1.
Don't be put off by the narrow list of new titles, because our shelves are heavy in #2, 3 and 4 issues of some very popular new series, including IF DESTRUCTION BE OUR LOT #2 from Image Comics, which many of you are familiar with from our creator signing with artist Andy MacDonald last month.
New graphic novels are dense this week, including the oversized hardcover biographical CHARITY AND SYLVIA, from Vermont writer/ artist Tillie Walden, known here for her excellent CLEMENTINE series of graphic novels from Image Comics. There are also new titles from DC, BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD in the DC Compact format and a Superman/ Action Comics reprint title THE BOY OF STEEL. Marvel has two Spider-centric books, one serious (SIPER-MAN: THE OTHER) and one not so much (SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN.) There are new young reader titles featuring popular characters like Stitch (as in Lilo and,) Rocket Raccoon and Groot, and the worst 'bot ever, Ball Point the tiny Transformer.
So, plenty of Comics Book goodness on hand. Pictures follow. See ya soon.
